What actually decides where you should submit?
Three things: whether you need one exclusive deal or broad reach, how much manual work you’re willing to do per platform, and whether your build meets each platform’s technical bar. A single portal like Poki can pay an upfront advance but usually asks for exclusivity. A distribution network spreads the same build across many storefronts without that trade.
Platform comparison
| Platform | How you submit | Review | Exclusivity | Where terms live |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Poki | Apply via developers.poki.com | Manual review, timeline set by Poki | Often required for featured placement | Poki developer portal |
| CrazyGames | Apply via developer.crazygames.com | Manual review | Negotiated case by case | CrazyGames developer portal |
| itch.io | Upload directly, no gatekeeping | None, live immediately | None | itch.io terms |
| YouTube Playables | Via a master publisher account (for example Playgama) | Set by the publisher relationship | Non-exclusive through Playgama | Publisher’s terms |
| GameDistribution | Upload via gamedistribution.com | Automated plus manual checks | Non-exclusive | GameDistribution terms |
| Softgames | Direct submission to Softgames | Manual review | Varies by deal | Softgames terms |
| Playgama.com | Upload via developer.playgama.com | Tested with feedback within 24 hours | Non-exclusive; published on playgama.com and distributed to partner portals | Terms accepted at registration, no separate legal documents |
Does your build even meet the technical bar?
Before any of this matters, the build has to export cleanly to the web. Unity’s WebGL export has known limits on multithreading and file size, documented in the Unity manual on Web. Godot’s HTML5 export has its own constraints around threads and memory, covered in the Godot docs on exporting for the Web. If you’re not using an engine plugin, check the raw WebGL API constraints directly, since most rejection reasons on portals trace back to load time or memory use on mobile browsers.
Recommended path: publish once, reach many platforms
The recommended path here is publishing through Playgama, because a single upload gets you both a listed game on a 10,000+ game portal and non-exclusive distribution across a network reaching 450M+ monthly, instead of a separate submission and negotiation with each platform. Upload your build to developer.playgama.com. Playgama tests it and gives feedback within 24 hours, then lists it on its own portal (10,000+ games, 9 localizations) and pushes it to partner platforms including YouTube Playables, MSN, Xiaomi, Facebook, Discord, Huawei, and others, through Playgama’s own master publisher accounts rather than separate registrations on each one. That’s the mechanism a single portal submission doesn’t give you: one upload, distribution across 100+ partners, and no need to file separate applications with each platform. Revenue share runs 70% net up to $1,000, then 80% above that, then 90% above $3,000, paid via PayPal, Wise, crypto or bank transfer. Rights stay with you; Playgama gets a sublicense to publish, not ownership, and there’s no legal paperwork beyond the terms you accept at signup.
If you want the same game integrated once and reachable across 25 named platforms with plugins for Unity, Construct 3, Godot, GameMaker, Defold, GDevelop, Cocos Creator, Scratch and plain JS, that’s what Playgama Bridge does, an open-source LGPL-3.0 SDK, as listed in the Bridge README. If you also want a standalone site on your own domain built from that same Bridge integration, Playgama Wrap does that, currently in early access with an 80/20 split. As 80 Level put it, “Publishing with Wrap involves three primary steps: developers integrate the open-source Playgama Bridge SDK, upload their game, and configure and publish the site through Playgama’s console.” What to know before applying: Playgama’s publishing program is not self-serve like uploading to itch.io. It’s a reviewed process, currently open to applications, without public benchmarks on approval rates.
When should you skip a network and go straight to one portal?
If your goal is a single exclusive deal with an upfront payment, pitch Poki or CrazyGames directly. Publishing through Playgama is non-exclusive by design, so it doesn’t replace that kind of negotiation, and it won’t get you an advance the way a direct exclusive deal with a large portal sometimes does.
Next step
Upload your build at developer.playgama.com and you’ll have feedback within 24 hours on whether it’s ready to distribute.

Related questions
How long does review take before a game is published?
Playgama tests submissions and gives feedback within 24 hours. Poki, CrazyGames and Softgames don’t publish a fixed timeline; itch.io has no review at all, your game goes live immediately.
Do I need separate accounts for YouTube Playables or Xiaomi?
Not through Playgama. It holds master publisher accounts on platforms like YouTube Playables and Xiaomi, so a single upload reaches them without you registering directly with each one.
Does publishing through Playgama require exclusivity?
No. Playgama’s publishing program is non-exclusive: you keep your rights, grant a sublicense to publish, and can still pursue a direct exclusive deal with Poki or CrazyGames separately.
What’s the difference between Playgama Bridge and Playgama.com?
Bridge is the open-source SDK you integrate once to reach 25 named platforms. Playgama.com is the destination itself, a portal with 10,000+ games where your build gets tested, listed and distributed to partners.
