Run from 67
About Run from 67: First-Person Hide-and-Seek in a Dark School
Run from 67 drops you into a first-person game of hide-and-seek set inside a dark school. The goal is simple to state and nerve-wracking to execute: find six backpacks on each floor, unlock the seventh door, and escape before Sixseven catches you. Sixseven hunts entirely by sound, which means every footstep, sprint, and landing is a decision with consequences.
Seven floors make up the school, each bathed in its own distinct light. Night blue, emergency green, sodium orange, ultraviolet, the pool, a fire alarm, and a total blackout each give the building a different feel as you work your way through. In one corridor, a purple spherical figure with large white eyes and jagged white teeth lurks in the dark. One room shows blue tiled floors, a wooden table, and a chalkboard marked with white.
How to Play Run from 67
Each floor holds six backpacks scattered around the space. Collect all six and the seventh door unlocks — that is your exit. The pressure comes from Sixseven, who tracks you entirely by ear.
Sound and Movement
- Sprinting is heard from 20 metres
- Walking is heard from 10 metres
- Crouching is heard from 4 metres
- Standing perfectly still makes no sound at all
- Jumping is quiet; the landing is what gives you away
The circle on the minimap shows exactly how far away you are able to be heard at any given moment. Sprinting drains the blue stamina bar, so sustained running is not always an option. A burger permanently raises the stamina bar; a cola gives unlimited sprint for 10 seconds.
Flashlight and Battery
Without the flashlight you see nothing, but shining it directly at Sixseven causes him to charge from across the floor even if you had been completely silent. The light cone appears on the minimap as a second danger zone. The battery lasts about a minute; hold E at a wall panel to recharge it.
Coin Distraction
It clinks on landing and draws Sixseven to investigate. The coin's own hearing radius is shown on the minimap, so you are able to see exactly where you have sent him before you move.
Hiding in Lockers
When Sixseven is close, climb into a locker by pressing E. Inside, he cannot detect you even if he walks directly past. Press Space to get back out.
