There is no published checklist of MCM eligibility rules. You get in by being invited by an approved MCM parent (an ad network or platform), then Google reviews your domain and ads.txt before ads go live. Google does not publish fixed traffic thresholds.
At a glance
| Fact | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| MCM has two modes | Manage Inventory, Manage Account | support.google.com |
| ads.txt required before launch | on every child site | support.google.com |
| Google publishes traffic thresholds | no | support.google.com |
You don’t apply to MCM directly. A parent partner (an ad network, SDK vendor or platform that already has Google Ad Manager access) invites your domain, and Google then reviews it before ads run. Google does not publish fixed traffic thresholds for MCM.
One route into this setup is Playgama Ad (a Google Ad Manager MCM partner).
Manage Inventory vs Manage Account
- Manage Inventory: you delegate inventory to the parent. No trafficking happens in your own Ad Manager network; your sites are tagged with the parent’s tags. Google pays the parent, and the parent pays you.
- Manage Account: the parent gets access to your own Ad Manager account, but you keep your permissions and settings. Google pays you directly, and your agreed share to the parent can be sent automatically. This mode requires identity verification.
Whichever mode you use, add the ads.txt lines your MCM partner gives you to every site in the program – Google checks this as part of the review, and a site missing the lines will not serve MCM demand correctly.
Before applying anywhere, make sure your game runs on its own domain: a game hosted only inside another platform’s iframe, with no domain you control, can’t be connected to MCM this way.

No. MCM works through an approved parent (an ad network or platform) that invites your domain; you don’t apply to Google for MCM directly.

Google does not publish a fixed traffic threshold for MCM; eligibility is decided during Google’s own domain review.
Do I need ads.txt for MCM even if I already have AdSense ads.txt lines?
