How do I track ad revenue per individual game?

Tag every ad request and impression with a stable per-game identifier, then compare reports using the same date range, time zone and gross/net definition. Numbers from different systems (ad network dashboard, ad server, analytics) will never match exactly by construction – the goal is a consistent, explainable delta, not a zero difference.

Ad requests measured how many times ad was asked for playgama.com
Revenue formula components requests x fill rate x eCPM / 1000 playgama.com
eCPM denominator revenue / impressions x 1000 playgama.com

Track it with a stable per-game key (a game ID or slug) attached to every ad request, impression and revenue row, in every system you use – your own analytics, the ad network’s dashboard, and any ad server. Without that shared key you cannot join the data later, and per-game numbers get blended into a site-wide total.

Playgama Ad reports ad requests, match rate, fill rate, show rate, impressions, eCPM, RPM and revenue, broken down by game, placement, format, geo and device.

Why do the numbers disagree between systems?

  • Time zone – a network’s dashboard may bucket a day by UTC while your analytics uses local time; align both to the same time zone before comparing.
  • Gross vs net – one report may show gross revenue before fees, another net after; check which one you’re reading.
  • Estimated vs reconciled – early-day figures are often estimates that get adjusted once the network finalizes billing; don’t compare a same-day estimate to a finalized report from another system.
  • Different denominators – for example, ad RPM divides by ad requests while Page RPM divides by 1,000 page views, so always name the denominator.

Reconcile by matching identical date ranges, the same time zone, the same gross/net basis, and the same per-game key across every source before drawing conclusions.

Should I compare gross or net revenue across systems?

Pick one basis and stick to it. Mixing gross figures from one report with net figures from another will always produce a mismatch that isn’t a real discrepancy.

Why does yesterday’s revenue change today?

Many ad systems report estimated figures first and adjust them once billing is finalized; compare finalized numbers, not same-day estimates, when reconciling.
