Finding Slimes in Swamp Biomes
The easiest way to get slimeballs is by hunting slimes in swamp biomes during nighttime. Slimes spawn naturally in swamps when the light level is 7 or lower, which means they’ll appear at night or in darker areas. You’ll want to look for swamps with flat, open areas where slimes have room to spawn.
For the best results, visit swamps during a new moon phase. Slime spawn rates are highest when the moon is completely dark, and they decrease as the moon gets brighter. During a full moon, slimes won’t spawn in swamps at all.

Alternative Methods
If you’re having trouble finding slimes, you can also get slimeballs by trading with wandering traders, though this is expensive and unreliable. Some players build dedicated slime farms in slime chunks for consistent slimeball production, but this requires more advanced redstone knowledge.
Baby pandas also rarely drop slimeballs when they sneeze, but this method is extremely unreliable and not worth pursuing as your primary source.
