Setting Up Team Create in Roblox Studio
Adding people to your Roblox Studio projects requires enabling Team Create, which allows multiple developers to work on the same experience simultaneously. Here’s how to get your friends collaborating on your project.
Enable Team Create First
Before inviting anyone, you need to turn on Team Create for your project. Open your experience in Roblox Studio, then navigate to the Home tab and click the “Team Create” button. If this is your first time using it, Studio will prompt you to turn it on – simply click “Turn On” to enable collaborative editing.
Inviting Collaborators
Once Team Create is active, you can add people through the Team Create window. Click the “Team Create” button again to open the collaboration panel. You’ll see an “Invite” button at the top – click it to start adding team members.
You can invite people in two ways:
- By Username: Type their exact Roblox username in the search field

Important Considerations
Remember that Team Create requires your experience to be saved to Roblox’s servers – you can’t use it with local files. Also, all collaborators need to be on your friends list or you need their exact username to invite them. Changes made by team members are automatically saved and synced across all users in real-time.
