Finding a Stronghold
To reach the End in Minecraft PE, you’ll first need to locate a stronghold. These underground structures contain the End portal you need to activate. Start by crafting Eyes of Ender using blaze powder and ender pearls. Throw an Eye of Ender into the air – it will fly in the direction of the nearest stronghold before falling to the ground.
Follow the Eye of Ender’s path, throwing new ones every few hundred blocks to stay on track. When you’re close to the stronghold, the Eye will dive straight down into the ground. Start digging at that spot to find the stronghold entrance.
Preparing for the Journey
Before entering the End, gather essential supplies:
- At least 12 Eyes of Ender (you need exactly 12 to activate the portal)
- Diamond armor and weapons
- Plenty of food and healing potions
- Blocks for building (cobblestone works well)
- A bow with lots of arrows
- Ender pearls for emergency teleportation
Activating the End Portal
Once inside the stronghold, explore until you find the End portal room. The portal frame will have some Eye of Ender slots already filled, but you’ll need to place Eyes in the empty slots. Right-click (or tap) each empty frame block while holding an Eye of Ender.
When all 12 slots contain Eyes of Ender, the portal will activate with a dark, starry center. Simply walk into this portal to teleport to the End dimension.
What to Expect in the End
You’ll spawn on a small obsidian platform in the End. The Ender Dragon will immediately start attacking, so be ready for combat. Destroy the End crystals on top of the obsidian pillars first – they heal the dragon. Use your bow to shoot the crystals from a distance, as they explode when destroyed.
After defeating the Ender Dragon, an exit portal will appear that takes you back to the Overworld. You can also explore End cities and find valuable loot if you’re feeling adventurous. Ready to start your own epic adventure and test your skills against the Ender Dragon?
