About Robot Evolution

Robot Evolution puts you in the role of observer rather than driver — the robots teach themselves to move. Each level starts with a population of machines running on random "brains," and through repeated selection the best performers pass their neural patterns to the next generation, gradually producing a confident, functional gait. The whole process plays out in front of you, generation after generation, failure after failure, until something finally walks.

Eleven machines with very different body plans compete across 110 levels filled with pits, boxes, ramps, and ceilings, plus a set of extra-nasty Challenges for when the standard courses feel too comfortable. Multi-colored geometric figures made of rectangles and circles appear across several scenes, arranged along a horizontal line above a dark void — the stark visual keeps the focus squarely on the robots and their stumbling progress.

How to Play Robot Evolution

Pick a level and the simulation begins immediately. Robots attempt movement, fall, collide, and fail — and the best performers in each generation hand their "brains" to offspring with small random changes. That is how a gait is born, one generation at a time.

Speed and Settings

• Speed buttons run from x0.25 to x32, letting you slow evolution to a crawl or blast through generations rapidly.
• The Settings menu lets you adjust mutation strength and frequency, the number of robots in each population, what the robot senses, brain size, and the training method.
• A "How to train faster" cheat sheet inside Settings provides short tips.

Stars, Coins, and Unlocks

• Clearing a level pays out stars and coins: one star for reaching the first mark, two for the second, and three when your champion completes the whole map steadily.
• Coins can be spent on new robots in the Shop, or those robots can be unlocked for free by clearing levels.

Saving Champions

• The Save and Load functions let you export a champion to a file and bring it back into any session later.
