About Core Ascent

Core Ascent is an endless vertical climber where the goal is simple to state and hard to master: get as high up a crumbling tower of platforms as possible before the Core loses you. Every landing automatically launches you upward, so horizontal steering is the only direct input you have. The higher you climb, the stronger the wind pushes against you, and the platforms themselves crumble, blink, and drift beneath your feet. Mines, UFO shots, and diving enemies fill the space between platforms, and the only way to fight back or protect yourself is to grab crates scattered across the platforms.

Several scenes show platforms of different colors and states arranged across the vertical play area. One scene shows a yellow platform standing out among the others, matching the source description of checkpoint platforms that deliver a bigger bounce.

How to Play Core Ascent

The score combines your height with the number of enemies you kill, so every decision — which platform to aim for, which crate to grab, which hazard to dodge — feeds directly into your final tally. Landing on any platform launches you upward automatically; you never jump manually. Yellow checkpoint platforms give a bigger bounce than standard ones. Avoid mines, UFO shots, and diving enemies, and never let yourself fall off the bottom of the screen.
