Math Meteors
About Math Meteors: Mental-Math Arcade with Eleven Problem Tiers
Math Meteors is a mental-math arcade where meteors drift down toward a planet, each one carrying a math problem. Type the correct answer and the matching meteor explodes; let one reach the surface and you lose a life. Three lives stand between you and the end of the round. Several scenes show a dark blue background dotted with small white circles of varying sizes. A wavy brown and tan band stretches across the lower portion of the screen in multiple views. Circular cream-colored objects with trailing gradient tails descend from the top of the screen.
Problems scale across eleven tiers — starting with addition and subtraction within ten, moving through multiplication and division, reaching numbers up to a hundred, and eventually introducing two-step problems with brackets. New problem types appear gradually as each round progresses. Three difficulty levels control how fast and how frequently meteors arrive.
How to Play Math Meteors
Starting and Switching Modes
Press "Play" and the round begins immediately using the last selected mode and difficulty. The first time, that defaults to all problems on Normal. To change the problem set or difficulty, use the two rows of buttons beneath "Play" or on the result screen. Problem sets include all problems, addition and subtraction only, multiplication and division only, or Times Tables mode. Difficulty choices are Easy, Normal, and Hard.
Typing Answers
Solve the on-screen problem and enter the answer on the keypad — positioned on the right in landscape orientation and at the bottom in portrait. Use the digit buttons to type, ⌫ to delete, and ✓ to submit. On a computer keyboard, use the digit keys, Backspace, and Enter. The meteor whose number matches the typed answer explodes and scores points.
Scoring and Lives
Every period of a round raises the score multiplier, stepping from ×2 up to ×16. Difficulty then multiplies that further: Easy ×1, Normal ×2, Hard ×4. A meteor that reaches the planet removes one of three lives. Lose all three and the round ends.
Between Rounds and Leaderboards
The result screen lets you switch mode or difficulty and press "Play again", or return to the main menu. Every completed round is submitted to the leaderboards automatically — no sign-in required. Sign in from the leaderboard screen to keep progress and standings tied to an account. The pause button in the corner of the keypad lets you continue, open settings (volume and language), or return to the main menu.
Achievements and Daily Rewards
The "Achievements" button in the menu lists all eight achievements along with what each one is awarded for. They unlock automatically during play, and each one places a badge in the collection displayed under your name. Once per day the menu offers a daily reward; collecting it grows a streak, and streaks of three, seven, and thirty consecutive days each add a star.
Tip from the source: shoot the meteor that will land first — the fast ones have a long tail.
