Hearts Club
About Hearts Club: Classic Trick-Taking Card Game for Four
Hearts Club brings the classic trick-taking card game to life with four players at the table — you and three bots, each with a distinct personality. The careful Owl plays conservatively, the Fox takes risks, and the Bear loves to shoot the moon. Every heart taken costs a point, the Queen of Spades costs thirteen, and the lowest score wins.
Five tables take you from the Café all the way to the Masters. Winning a table opens the next, and the bots grow sharper at every step — from beginners to masters who think through dozens of card layouts before each move. Choose a quick game to 50 points or a classic game to 100, and the game saves after every deal so you are able to pick up where you left off.
How to Play Hearts Club
A game starts immediately at your last table when you press Play. The first time, that means the Café with beginner bots. The Tables menu lets you choose any open table and set the target score to 50 or 100 points.
Passing Phase
Before each deal, every player passes three cards — the direction rotates left, right, and across in turn. Every fourth deal, and your very first, skips passing entirely. From your second deal onward, a coach marks three cards worth passing and explains the reasoning behind each suggestion.
Playing Tricks
The holder of the two of clubs leads the first trick. Follow the led suit when possible; otherwise any card may be played, except hearts or the Queen of Spades on the very first trick. Hearts cannot be led until a heart has already been played in an earlier trick. The highest card of the led suit takes the trick. Cards that cannot legally be played are dimmed; attempting one causes it to blink and displays the relevant rule.
Scoring and Shooting the Moon
Each heart taken scores 1 point and the Queen of Spades scores 13. Taking every heart and the Queen of Spades in a single deal means shooting the moon: the shooter scores 0 and every opponent scores 26. The game ends when any player reaches the point limit; the lowest score wins and a win opens the next table.
Leaderboards and Achievements
Every deal automatically adds mastery points to the leaderboard — no sign-in required. The daily deal gives all players the same cards across four deals, with one scored attempt per day and its own separate leaderboard. All eleven achievements unlock on their own as you play; the Achievements button in the menu lists each one alongside what it is awarded for.
