Aegis of Myth
About Aegis of Myth: Merge Tower Defense in Ancient Greece
Aegis of Myth is a merge tower defense set in ancient Greece, where drawing cards, combining elements, and forging gods stand between your Shrine and wave after wave of attackers. The goal is to hold the roads across seven legendary sieges, and beyond those lies the hidden Endless Siege waiting to be unlocked. A Codex tracks every god discovered along the way, giving the whole campaign a satisfying sense of collection alongside the combat.
The gods at the heart of the game — Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, and others — each carry their own attack style and a screen-shaking ultimate, so the roster feels genuinely varied rather than cosmetically different. The merge mechanic keeps the board alive between waves: matching cards level up, recipes glow when the right elements align, and the grid never sits idle for long.
How to Play Aegis of Myth: Draw, Merge, and Forge Gods
Every turn starts with a tap on Draw to pull an element card, which then gets dragged onto a free tile on the board. Dropping one card onto an identical card merges them and raises the combined card's level. Once the right elements sit next to each other in a row or column, a recipe glows at the top of the screen — tap it to forge a god from those pieces.
Gold management runs alongside the merging. Sowing grain generates extra gold, and any unwanted cards can be dragged into the River Styx to clear space. The enemies march toward the Shrine, so positioning and timing the forges matters throughout all seven sieges. Completing those sieges unlocks the Endless Siege mode. The Codex fills as each god is discovered, rewarding thorough experimentation with different element combinations.
