Booblyc TD: Card Tower Defense opens with a guy who falls asleep over his phone and wakes up inside the game he was playing: a kingdom under siege, where everyone around him is convinced he is a powerful mage. That premise sets the tone for a story-driven tower defense that keeps its humour running well past the tutorial.

What separates Booblyc TD from a standard lane defense is the card system. Over 80 collectible cards — spanning weapons, armour, magic, kings, and pets — slot onto your units and upgrade their skills, so each run takes shape differently depending on what you equip. Defenders are not locked to a fixed tile; you drag them around their stand mid-battle to physically block whichever lane the enemies are actually using.

The world unfolds on a hand-drawn map dotted with mines, forges, card shops, bridges, and side branches. Bosses each break a rule you thought you had learned. The game won the Indie Cup Awards for Best Mobile Game.

The core objective is to stop waves of enemies before they reach the end of the road. Letting too many through loses the level; letting fewer than three through earns three stars.

Building and Upgrading Defenders

• Click or tap an empty stand to build a defender on that spot.
• Click an existing defender to upgrade it.
• Drag a defender around its stand to reposition it and block the lane where enemies are actually approaching.

Using Cards in Battle

• Cast magic cards directly onto the battlefield from the panel at the bottom of the screen.

Between Battles

• Open your card collection and equip weapons, armour, magic, and pets onto your units.
• Buy card packs in the card shop.
• Choose your next route on the hand-drawn world map, including mines, forges, bridges, and side branches.

Controls

• Click / Tap empty stand: Build a defender
• Click / Tap defender: Upgrade the defender
• Drag defender: Reposition it around its stand to block a lane
• Click / Tap magic card (bottom panel): Cast it onto the battlefield
