About Patchwise

Patchwise is a calm logic puzzle built around bojagi, the Korean art of sewing scraps of cloth into a single wrapping cloth. Each puzzle presents an empty cloth as the board and a tray of patches below it. The goal is to fill the cloth completely, using every patch in the tray exactly once. Patches may be turned and flipped to fit. With no timer, no lives, and no fail state, the game invites a relaxed, unhurried pace.

Across 10 worlds and 285 hand-picked puzzles, each world introduces one new rule that layers on top of everything learned before. Alongside the main puzzles, a Daily Bojagi delivers a fresh cloth every day, and a competitive Sewing Cup has 100 sewers racing through 5 cloths in a row — use a hint and you're eliminated. Kkachi, a magpie character, anchors the game's cozy side: spend earned stars to furnish her sewing room, collect food cards by finishing a world's bojagi, and customize the frame, cloth, thread, lattice, and Kkachi's own appearance.

How to Play Patchwise

The objective is to fill the entire cloth using the patches shown in the tray, with each patch used exactly once. Patches may be turned and flipped to find the right fit.

World Rules

• Patchwork: use exactly the patches in the tray
• Knots: a knot shows the size of the patch it sits on
• Holes: leave the holes empty
• Stitches: stitched cells must belong to the same patch
• Seams: a seam line must stay a border between two patches
• Buttons: every patch gets exactly one button
• Grain: a patch must run longer along the grain of the cloth
• Printed: printed patches cannot be turned or flipped
• Colored Buttons: same color means same patch; different colors mean different patches
• Corner Knots: a corner knot counts the patches meeting at that corner

Stars and Progression

Each cloth awards up to 2 stars: one for finishing it, and one for finishing without using any hints. Collecting half the stars in a world unlocks the next one. Every cloth does not need to be completed to advance.

Controls

• Drag across cells: sew a patch onto the cloth
• Drag from the end of a patch: extend the patch to make it longer
• Tap a patch: remove it from the cloth
• UNDO: takes back the last move
• RESET: clears the entire board
• HINT: sews one correct patch for you; patches placed by a hint are pinned and stay put
