About Pup and Fox: Sliding-Tile Puzzle with 200 Hand-Made Levels
Pup and Fox is a cute sliding-tile puzzle game where Pup the puppy is after his red ball. The challenge is to slide whole patches of ground across the board — carrying Pup along or pushing him — until Pup and the ball share the same cell. Fixed tiles like water and rocks never budge, and most levels run against a timer, so every move counts.
The game spans 200 hand-made levels across three chapters: a forest, hot desert sands with wind, and interstellar space with teleports. After the hand-made levels of each chapter, the game generates fresh puzzles directly on your device. Fox guides the basics and, on many levels, can reveal the solution in exchange for keys. Earn up to three stars per level, collect keys every day, and unlock more than fifty animal friends, each with a favourite toy of its own.
How to Play Pup and Fox: Bring Pup to His Ball
The goal is to bring Pup and his ball to the same cell. When playing as another hero, reach that hero's favourite toy instead. On timed levels, the puzzle must be solved before time runs out.
Movement and Rules
- Select a patch of ground — such as grass or earth — and drag it left, right, up, or down to move the entire connected patch one cell at a time.
- Pup moves together with the patch he sits on, a moving patch can push him, and he can fall down to lower cells.
- Fixed tiles, such as water in the forest or rocks in the desert, cannot be moved.
- In the desert, wind blows Pup left or right.
- In space, a teleport moves him to another cell.
Stars and Hints
- Finish a level in fewer moves and with more time remaining to earn up to three stars; the counter at the top shows your moves alongside the target number.
- Fox teaches the basics in the first levels and introduces wind and teleports as new mechanics appear.
- On many forest levels and on generated levels, keys can be spent to let Fox show the full solution.
- Keys are also spent on levels, chapters, new friends, and solutions.
Controls
- Left mouse button (hold and drag): Press and hold on a patch of ground and drag it left, right, up, or down to move it.
- Touch and drag: Touch a patch of ground and drag it left, right, up, or down with your finger.
