How to Play Mahjong Solitaire
Clear the board. That's it. Match pairs of identical tiles to remove them. Only free tiles count—no left/right neighbors, nothing on top. Work fast. You've got 10 minutes to eliminate all 144 tiles.
The Matching Loop
Scan for twins. Click one tile. Click its match. Gone. Repeat. Free tiles light up when you hover—use it. Start from the top layers. Unlock lower levels as you clear. Miss a pair? Board locks. Use the Hint button (?) when stuck. Costs soft currency but shows valid matches instantly.
Layer Strategy
Work the edges first. Center tiles bury everything. Clear horizontal rows to expose vertical stacks. The Turtle layout (standard formation) has 15 open matches at start. That number shrinks fast. Plan two moves ahead. Random clicking? Dead end guaranteed. Look for clusters—seasons, flowers, numbers. They're your shortcuts.
Time & Currency Management
Timer runs 9:49 average per round. Fast clears earn bonus currency (flowers). Current cap shown: 1,728 flowers. Spend them on hints or board resets. No pressure mode exists—every game is timed. Track your Open Matches counter. Drops below 5? You're in trouble. Use hints before you're locked with zero moves.
