Janggi Checkmate is a collection of 3,000 hand-crafted Korean Chess (장기) checkmate puzzles. The goal is always the same: spot the forced mate and deliver it within the move limit. Puzzles range from sharp one-move strikes to deep five-move combinations, and the 15 themed packs each focus on a specific attacking piece — Chariot, Horse, Cannon, Elephant, or Soldier. Blue pieces are yours to command; the Red general is the target. Coins, a free daily hint, and unlockable premium wood boards reward progress, while a global leaderboard tracks how your tactics measure up.

How to Play Janggi Checkmate: Spot the Forced Mate

Every puzzle presents a position with a "Mate in N" label, where N runs from 1 to 5. Select one of your blue pieces to reveal its legal moves, then select a highlighted point to place it. The objective is to checkmate the Red general within that exact move count. All seven piece types follow standard Janggi rules; the in-game Help button provides a movement guide for each one.
