A Mother's Grief
About A Mother's Grief
A Mother's Grief drops you into a remote cabin in the winter of 1892, where a grieving mother named Elara performed a forbidden ritual to resurrect her daughter Lily after the girl died of a fever. What returned wore Lily's face — but her eyes were black, her voice a whisper of static, and she spoke in tongues. Eight years later, the thing that came back is still inside the cabin. Waiting.
You arrive as a hunter of places with dark histories. Your job is to enter the house, look, and prove what happened. The cabin is fully explorable, moving through a hallway, living room, bedroom, kitchen, fireplace nook, and an L-leg evidence room. Several scenes show small white square particles suspended in the air. One room holds a red rug with concentric oval patterns beside a fireplace and a chandelier.
How to Play A Mother's Grief: Find Evidence and Survive the Finale
The goal is to locate and photograph eight haunted objects scattered through the cabin, then document each one on your evidence board before confronting what waits at the end.
Haunted Objects to Photograph
- Lily's rag doll
- The grimoire
- The bone blade
- The pentagram
- The demon-child
Three additional haunted objects remain hidden in the cabin for you to discover. Every photograph taken becomes a piece of evidence. Open your journal with TAB to read the cabin's history and pin each proof to the evidence board.
Equipment and Atmosphere
Your old film camera has a working viewfinder that displays battery level, remaining shots, and the current date and time. A flashlight becomes available after you pick up the lantern. Ceiling lights flicker, and the air is thick with dust. The dynamic audio layer includes footsteps on wood, the camera shutter, an atmospheric ambience track, and a whisper that draws closer the longer you stay inside.
The Finale
The demon-child is waiting at the foot of the bed. Photograph her before she learns your name — then get out.
