About Ash of the Depths

Ash of the Depths drops you into a dying colony called Sorrow-IV, where the Ash Legion's last executor descends toward something ancient and hungry stirring at the very bottom. The game is a dark sci-fi shooter built around a world where every pixel obeys physics — rock collapses, sand pours, water flows, magma cools into stone, and gas ignites from a single spark. Several scenes show environments rendered in that reactive material system, with terrain that visibly shifts and breaks apart. One scene shows a dark subterranean space lit by a deep amber glow, with crumbling rock formations surrounding the player character.

The 6-chapter story campaign spans 100 levels and leads to two different endings, threading through seven distinct biomes on the way down. Progress saves automatically, and signing in keeps it in the cloud. The game is fully translated into 15 languages.

How to Play Ash of the Depths: Descend, Survive, Reach the Exit

The core goal is to descend as deep as possible, reach the exit of each level, and survive the bosses along the way. The level goal and the "rift hungers" counter are displayed in the top-right corner, and an arrow at the screen edge points toward the current objective. Gold earned during runs goes into the Arsenal, accessible via pause → Arsenal or after completing a level, where gear and upgrades are purchased.
