About 2048 Merge Runner: Run, Merge, and Grow to 2048

2048 Merge Runner puts you in control of a little runner with a number on its head, charging down a track where every merge doubles your value and every wrong collision cuts it in half. Touch a runner carrying your same number and the two fuse — 2 becomes 4, 4 becomes 8, and the chain keeps climbing to 2048 and beyond. Any runner carrying a different number turns grey and tumbles off the road. The track throws x2 and x4 gates that boost your number, halving gates to avoid, ramps that launch you onto an upper road packed with gems, and number walls you are able to smash whenever your value exceeds theirs. Saws, swinging hammers, spinners, spikes, narrow bridges, and forks in the road appear level by level before mixing together into increasingly varied runs.

At the finish line a giant boss waits. Every point of damage dealt to it carries over between attempts, so persistence pays off. Beating a boss unlocks a bonus level loaded with gems and coins. Nineteen hats are available to collect, ranging from a party hat to a golden crown, and two upgrade tracks — POWER for more boss damage and START for a bigger opening number — let each run begin stronger than the last. The game runs in both landscape and portrait on desktop and mobile.

How to Play 2048 Merge Runner: Merge, Dodge, and Beat the Boss

Start a run and steer left or right to chase runners that share your current number. A successful merge doubles your value; contact with any other number halves it, so lane choice matters constantly. Seek out x2 and x4 gates to multiply your number quickly, and steer clear of the halving gates. Hit a ramp to jump onto the upper road where gems are waiting. When your number is larger than a number wall ahead, run straight through it.

Eight obstacle types stand between you and the finish line:

• Narrow bridges
• Spinners
• Spikes

At the finish, fire everything collected at the boss. Damage dealt is saved, so returning after a failed attempt still makes progress. Once the boss falls, a bonus level full of gems and coins opens up. Spend gems on POWER to increase boss damage, on START to raise your opening number, and on hats.
