About Up or Burn

Up or Burn is a fast, one-tap arcade climber where Mallow the marshmallow races upward against an ever-rising tide of lava. The goal is simple and relentless: keep climbing higher or burn. Mallow runs back and forth on his own, leaving the player with one job — jump at exactly the right moment to land on the next platform.

One scene shows a pink rounded creature with large eyes and a smile standing on a golden-brown horizontal platform. In another moment, a dark brick wall displays arched openings and vertical jagged lines that look like cracks. Small orange flame-like objects appear attached to the side walls in one view.

How to Play Up or Burn: Climb Higher Before the Lava Catches You

Mallow handles his own movement, running back and forth automatically. Jump when he faces the next platform to keep the ascent going. The lava climbs faster as the run continues, so every mistimed jump costs precious height. Crumbling, moving, and tiny platforms all demand careful timing on the way up.

Rare blue gems are scattered through the climb — each one collected lets Mallow continue a run after burning rather than starting fresh. Climbing higher also unlocks new skins over time, giving a reason to push past previous best heights.
