How to Play The Last Company: Recruit, Prepare, and Survive

Preparation happens in the village, where you select buildings, choose equipment, and manage your roster. Before each fight, you drag hero portraits onto a 3×3 grid — or click a portrait and then a square — to set your formation. Once battle begins, combat runs automatically; you do not move or attack manually. On-screen buttons let you pause, resume, or change battle speed while the fight plays out. Gold is scarce throughout, enemies grow more dangerous over time, and any hero who falls is gone for good, so every positioning decision carries real weight.
