About The Midnight Tailor: Cozy Halloween Puzzle for Monsters
The Midnight Tailor is a cozy-creepy Halloween puzzle game set in a tiny tailor's shop that only opens after midnight. Each night, a procession of strange customers rings the bell — a burlap puppet, a shy little ghost, a plush cat, a talking gourd, a bat, and a vampire who never had a shadow. Every one of them has lost their shadow, and with it their most precious memory. Your job is to piece those torn memories back together and stitch them home.
The whole experience is built from handcrafted felt-and-patchwork art and real recorded sounds. Small atmospheric details keep the shop feeling alive: candles that gutter, a door that creaks open, and a shadow hand that sneaks a piece away when you least expect it.
How to Play The Midnight Tailor: Rebuild and Stitch Each Memory
Listen to each customer's story, then rebuild their memory on the embroidery frame. Every puzzle piece must land in the right position and face the right way up before the frame will accept it. The pinned picture on the right side of the screen is the only guide available — enlarge it by selecting it whenever a closer look helps.
Stuck on a stubborn piece? Two moon thread uses are available each night. Once every piece is correctly placed, press Stitch the shadow to complete that customer's memory. Mend every shadow of the night to close the shop.
Controls
- Tap / Left-click a piece: Rotate it a quarter turn clockwise
- Right-click a piece: Rotate it a quarter turn counter-clockwise
- Drag a piece: Place it onto the embroidery frame
- Tap the pinned picture: Enlarge the reference image
- Moon thread button: Place one piece automatically (2 uses per night)
- Tab: Select a piece
- Space or R: Rotate the selected piece
- Enter: Place the selected piece
- H: Activate the moon thread
