TELETEXT begins with a premise as strange as it sounds: you came to tune a television set, and it swallowed you. Now you are the Eye, navigating a neon grid crawling with bugs inside what the game describes as a night arcade built out of two old screens — a glowing neon grid and a teletext service that should have died in 1999. Several scenes show a dark environment with a glowing cyan and magenta isometric grid floor, its surface rippling with varying elevation. The tone is fast-paced arcade action wrapped in a deliberately retro pixel aesthetic, with waves of insects, a Match-3 strike system, and a line-drawing mechanic all competing for your attention at once.

How to Play TELETEXT

Move the Eye across the grid collecting coins. A strike costs five coins on EASY and seven on NOT EASY. Two distinct strike tools are available depending on which input you reach for.

Match-3 Strike

Opening the Match-3 board lets you match a colour, which marks every bug of that colour inside your ring. Confirm the selection and FIRE to clear them.

FILL IT Strike

The FILL IT tool asks you to draw a line through three cells or more. The longer the line you complete, the more bugs the resulting lightning destroys.

Progression and Upgrades

Raise pyramids to print magazine pages and tune the antennas to get out. Five double cherries open the slot machine. Spending five molecules triggers an upgrade, and a separate input levels up the turret.
