About Swarm Lord: Army vs Horde
Swarm Lord: Army vs Horde puts you in the role of a commander rather than a lone fighter. Where most survivor games have you upgrading a single weapon, here you build and lead a retinue — soldiers, archers, guardians, bombers, and healers — who hold the line, fall under enemy blows, and rise again when you reach them. Eight lands each end with a warlord, and freeing a land earns a new unit class. Prisoner cages scattered across the field can be broken open, adding freed fighters directly to your ranks.
Veterans rise in rank and unit classes evolve into named formations: Legion, Bastion, Royal Archers, Powder Regiment, and Order of Mercy. Permanent upgrades for every unit class are managed through the Barracks. Beyond the main campaign, Nightmare mode, relics, and the Endless Siege extend the challenge further. A Trial of the Day delivers a fresh battle rule and a reward each day, while a 7-day login calendar and a patrol that brings back loot while you are away round out the progression loop. Every land offers up to three stars across 40 feats.
How to Play Swarm Lord: Army vs Horde: Raise an Army and Defeat Each Warlord
Your hero and the entire army attack on their own — your job is movement, positioning, and timing the Charge. Work through each of the five steps below to push through a land and bring down its warlord.
Core Loop
- Collect experience gems dropped by enemies. Each level-up presents three cards; pick one: a new soldier, a weapon, or a boost.
- Fallen soldiers remain on the field — move close to them and they stand back up.
- Break prisoner cages to reinforce your army mid-battle.
- When the Charge! button is ready, activate it and the whole army storms the enemy at once.
- Survive to the end of the land and defeat its warlord to unlock the next land and a new unit class.
Between Battles
Spend coins on Barracks upgrades and hero upgrades in the menu. New lands and unit classes are unlocked as you progress through the campaign.
