Railway bridge
About Railway bridge
Railway bridge is a physics simulator that puts you in the role of a bridge engineer, tasked with designing and building railway bridges strong enough to carry heavy trains across a gap.
The game spans a variety of picturesque locations, each with a distinct landscape: a blooming Green Valley, Grassy hills, a snow-capped Ice Mountain, a hot Sandy canyon, and a dangerous Stone Quarry. Every new zone challenges your spatial thinking with its unique terrain. Bridges are stress-tested by trains of different classes, and a sandbox mode removes budget restrictions entirely for free-form construction and experimentation.
How to Play Railway bridge
Choose a Level and Train
Select a location and a train to match. Each train carries a different weight, and the heaviest ones demand the strongest possible crossing.
Design and Build
Switch into edit mode and use the toolbar to construct your bridge. Lay rails between attachment points to form the roadway — without a continuous rail line, the train cannot pass. Build rigid triangular trusses and a support frame to brace the structure from below, or add ropes to create suspension bridges that hold long spans from above using tension. Individual failed elements can be erased with the delete tool in one click.
Run the Simulation
Press the play button to send the train across. A realistic physics engine calculates the load on every element. If the bridge holds and the train reaches the finish line, the level is complete. If the bridge collapses, return to the editor and reinforce the weak points.
Controls
- Toolbar buttons: Select rails, supports, ropes, or delete tool
- Click / tap on anchor points: Place and connect bridge elements
- Delete tool: Erase a selected element
- Play button (▶): Start the train simulation
