About Plots and Boxes

Plots and Boxes is a hand-sketched strategy game where two players battle for territory across 7 evolving stages. Challenge a friend in local 2-player mode or face the Computer in this addictive classic with a twist.

How to Play Plots and Boxes

Start by selecting your mode — "Fellow Player" for a local 2-player match or "Computer" to go up against the AI. Each turn, click a dot and drag to an adjacent dot to draw a line. Close off the fourth side of a box to claim that "Plot": it fills with your color and earns you 1 point.

Chain Your Turns

Completing a box forces an immediate extra turn, which opens the door to chaining multiple plots in a single sequence. The player with the most claimed plots at the end of the round wins.

Progress Through Stages

After each game, click "New Sketch" to advance to the next stage. Grids grow larger and shapes become more irregular as the rounds progress, across all 7 stages.
