About Night Frontier: Cozy Base-Building Tower Defense
Night Frontier is a cozy base-building and tower defense game where each mission opens at dawn on a fresh piece of land. The core loop is satisfying in its clarity: spend the daylight hours constructing and connecting buildings into production chains, then hold the line when darkness brings the zombies out of the forest. Walkers, runners, brutes, and huge bosses attack from every side, and your archer towers only fire while their supply chain stays intact. Survive until sunrise, repair the damage, and push your frontier a little further.
The game spans 20 handcrafted missions across 2 chapters, each chapter ending with a boss encounter. Between missions, town upgrades let you strengthen your setup, and chapter chests, daily rewards, and airship gifts add further progression. Missions award up to 3 stars, giving completionists a reason to revisit earlier stages.
How to Play Night Frontier: Build Chains, Survive the Night
The objective of every mission is to complete its goal and survive each night until dawn. Success depends on building a working production chain before the zombies arrive.
Daytime Building
Place your Base next to the crystals at the start of each mission. From there, build mines, sawmills, and arrow workshops, then connect them so that wood flows into arrows and crystals pay for construction. Transporters link buildings into chains, and upgrades improve individual structures. Walls add another layer of protection around your defenses.
Nighttime Defense
When night falls, zombies emerge from the forest on all sides. Archer towers shoot automatically, but only while the production chain keeps them supplied — a broken link silences a tower instantly. Walkers, runners, brutes, and bosses each press the attack differently, so the integrity of your supply network is as important as tower placement.
Between Missions
After surviving a night, repair damaged buildings and expand into new land at sunrise. Town upgrades applied between missions carry forward, and chapter chests reward progress through each of the two chapters.
Controls
- Drag (mouse/touch): drag a building from the bottom panel onto the map
- Tap (mouse/touch): tap a building in the panel, then tap a cell to place it; tap a placed building for upgrades and info
- 1–9: pick a building from the panel
- Enter: confirm placement
- Esc: cancel placement or pause
- Space: pause
- N: call the night early
