How to Play Merge Cats Idle Army: Merge, Battle, and Ascend

Recruiting and Merging Cats

Tap the spawn button to buy a new cat using Soul Fragments. New recruits also arrive for free over time. To merge, drag one cat onto another cat of the same level — the two combine into a single, more powerful cat. That upgraded cat can then be merged again as the collection grows toward the higher tiers.

Sending Cats into Battle

Drag cats onto the battle tiles to deploy them. Once placed, they attack automatically, hitting wave after wave of rival cats and epic bosses. Every hit enemies take drops Soul Fragments, which feed back into recruiting and upgrading more cats. Defeating a boss advances the army to stronger enemies and bigger rewards.

Boosts and Upgrades

Activate x2 Damage, Auto-Merge, or Time Jump to accelerate progress. Free boosts also fly across the screen and can be grabbed as they appear. Upgrading spawn level and spawn speed keeps the pipeline of new cats flowing faster. When progress slows, Ascending restarts the run with permanent bonuses and awards a spin on the Ascend Wheel.

Offline Loot and Daily Returns

The army keeps farming Soul Fragments for up to 12 hours while away. Returning daily unlocks offline loot, daily rewards, and quest prizes. The Tile Puzzle mini-game offers a change of pace and extra rewards, while completing the Cat Book tracks every cat collected across the full 100-level roster.
