About Chess Frontline
Chess Frontline takes the ancient game and replaces every quiet piece movement with a military spectacle. The board becomes a field map marked with a commander's eye, and the two sides field full armies — soldiers, officers, armored cars, and tanks. Every capture plays out as a battle scene: infantry raise rifles, turrets swing around, grenades arc through the air, and the camera plunges into the explosion. In one scene, small white star-like particles and a red-orange glow flare up around two figures at the center of the board.
Beneath all that firepower, Chess Frontline runs on strict classical chess — castling, en passant, pawn promotion, stalemate, and the 50-move rule are all present and unmodified. Chess players get the depth they expect; strategy fans get a spectacle on every square.
How to Play Chess Frontline: Checkmate the Enemy King
The objective is classical: checkmate the enemy king to win. Before a match, choose your side and set the AI difficulty. From there, the flow is straightforward — select a piece, read the highlighted squares, and issue the order.
Turn Structure
- Tap or click a piece to select it — available moves light up on the board.
- Press a highlighted square to move; if an enemy occupies it, a battle begins with a rifle shot, a grenade, or a tank salvo.
AI Difficulty
- Easy: plays random moves
- Medium: intermediate challenge
- Hard: a cold-blooded tactician
Hints, Undo, and Second Chance
- Hint: tap to reveal the strongest available move.
- Undo: reverse a mistake immediately.
- Second Chance: after checkmate, rewind the game two moves back and fight on.
Leaderboard and Points
- Wins against the AI earn leaderboard points: defeating an easy opponent awards 0.5 points, a strong opponent awards a full point.
- Wins on higher difficulty are worth twice as much, so climbing the rankings rewards tougher play.

- Tap or click a piece: select it and reveal available moves
- Tap or click a highlighted square: move the piece or trigger a battle capture
Mobile
- Drag one finger across the empty field beside the board: rotate the camera
- Pinch with two fingers: zoom in or out
