Castle of Whispers
About Castle of Whispers: First-Person 3D Horror Puzzle Escape
Castle of Whispers drops you alone inside a storm-locked fortress with nothing but a lantern and your wits. The goal is to recover four soul gems, open the crypt, and free the Countess — but a veiled ghost stands between you and the exit. Puzzle answers shift with every playthrough, so no two runs feel identical, and a built-in journal tracks every clue and goal as you go. Nightmare Mode unlocks after the ending for those who want a harder challenge. The game is free on PC and mobile in 14 languages.
Seven distinct areas make up the castle: the great hall, the portrait gallery, the library, the music room, the clock tower, the alchemist's laboratory, and the crypt. Each space has its own atmosphere and its own set of puzzles to crack before you are able to move on.
How to Play Castle of Whispers: Find Four Soul Gems and Escape
The core objective is to locate all four soul gems, unlock the crypt, and free the Countess. Across the castle's seven rooms, that means reading diaries, gathering clues, and working through 12 escape-room puzzles. Every puzzle has a free hint lamp when you get stuck, and the journal can point you toward your next goal at any time.

Avoiding the Ghost
The veiled ghost actively hunts you through the castle. To break her line of sight, cover your lantern or duck into a wardrobe and watch her through the crack. If she catches you, the game returns you to the last checkpoint — and everything you have already found stays with you.
