Backgammon Pro
Backgammon Pro - Play Online
Classic board game. Zero learning curve. Backgammon Pro drops you straight onto the board — 15 checkers, two dice, one goal. Roll. Move. Hit. Bear off before your opponent does.
How to Play Backgammon Pro
Move all 15 checkers into your home area, then bear them off the board. First player to clear every checker wins. Simple rule set. Deep strategy underneath.
Rolling and Moving
Each turn, roll the dice. Move checkers the exact number of points shown — split between two pieces or stack both on one. Roll doubles? Four moves instead of two. Big tempo swing. Use it. Legal landing spots: empty points, your own stacks, or a lone enemy checker. Two or more enemy checkers on a point? Blocked. Find another path.
Hitting and Re-entering
Land on a single enemy checker and it's captured — knocked to the bar. That checker must re-enter from your opponent's home board on their next roll. While any checker sits on the bar, your opponent can't move anything else. Pressure tool. Use it deliberately. If you spot a blot — an isolated enemy piece — hit it immediately.
Bearing Off and Closing Out
Once all 15 checkers reach your home area, start bearing off. Match the dice number to the point, or bear off the highest occupied point when the roll exceeds it. Speed matters here — opponent races the same finish line. Close points in your home board early. A prime — six consecutive blocked points — traps enemy checkers and buys critical time. Backgammon Multiplayer sharpens this endgame thinking fast if you want extra practice against real opponents.
