About Ant Picnic: Mosaic Puzzles with an Ant Colony

Ant Picnic puts a busy ant colony at the center of 1,002 mosaic puzzles, asking for careful planning rather than quick reflexes. Three queues of ant teams wait at the ready, and the goal is to send each team out to collect color-matched blocks across the mosaic. Space is the critical resource: if a color becomes blocked and all five slots fill with waiting teams, the current plan falls apart. Along the way, ladybugs, butterflies, and beetles are waiting to be rescued, and nectar earned through play goes toward decorating a garden. Opening lessons ease new players in, while unlocking new chapters keeps progress moving forward.

How to Play Ant Picnic: Clear the Mosaic Without Blocking All Five Slots

At any moment, three queues each show a front card representing an ant team. Selecting a front card sends that team out to collect every reachable block matching their color. Because each team occupies one of five available slots while working, a color that has no reachable blocks will leave that team stuck and the slot filled. The central challenge is to think ahead: choosing the wrong team at the wrong time can chain-block colors until all five slots are occupied, ending the attempt. Clearing the full mosaic without reaching that state is the win condition.
