About Red Hood: No Answer: Auto-Battler with Backpack Strategy
Red Hood: No Answer opens with a simple, unsettling premise: Grandma isn't picking up the phone. Red Hood shoulders a shotgun, packs her bag, and heads out on foot. What follows is an auto-battler built around a 5x5 backpack grid, where every strategic decision happens between waves rather than during them. The story unfolds across 8 hand-drawn stages, each narrated through four-panel comic pages, giving the whole run the feel of a grim graphic novel. A full playthrough takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes.
How to Play Red Hood: No Answer: Survive Every Wave
The goal is to survive all 37 waves and reach Grandma's house. Combat is automatic — Red fights on her own once a wave begins — so the real work happens in the preparation phase between waves.
Managing the Backpack
A Supply row presents items before each wave. Drag weapons, armor, and supplies from that row into the 5x5 Backpack grid. Placement matters: gear that touches Red becomes active, and gear that touches other gear exchanges bonuses between those items. Drop an identical item onto a matching one to merge the pair into a stronger upgraded version.
Running the Wave
Once the backpack is set, start the fight by clicking WAVE. Red handles combat automatically. Runs save automatically between waves, so progress is never lost mid-run.
Enemies and Bosses
