Heat and instability keep climbing as you go, but the exact breaking point stays hidden, which keeps the pressure constant from the first block you break to the moment you decide to escape.

The core tension is a risk-versus-reward calculation that never lets up: richer resources wait farther from the base, but so does greater danger. Power, speed, and modules let you shape the drill around your own approach, and upgrade cards found mid-run let you strengthen your setup without interrupting the action.

How to Play Deep Drill Run: Drill, Collect, Upgrade, Escape

Drilling starts automatically the moment your character pushes into a block — no separate action needed. The goal on each run is to drill ore, collect money, and buy upgrades before deciding when to pull back.

Blocks and Bonuses

• Standard blocks break on contact and yield ore and money.
• Glowing blocks: tougher to break but give more rewards; a brighter colored glow signals a bigger bonus.

Upgrades and Mine Improvements

• Upgrade cards found during a run power up your drill on the spot, without slowing the action.
• The miner itself can be upgraded across runs for greater power, speed, and module options.
• The mines themselves can also be upgraded; better mines contain more resources, more valuable ore, character upgrade cards, extra oxygen, and cooling supplies.
• Every few upgrade levels can open new gameplay features and extra options, whether you focus on the miner, the mine, or both.

Progression

• Each level is procedurally generated, so every run introduces a different layout.
• The farther you progress and the more you upgrade, the more rock types, bonuses, and rewards become available.
• Some bonuses are unlocked through overall progress rather than within a single run.
