About Atlas Duel
Atlas Duel puts your geography knowledge to the test with 80 real locations from around the world. Each round presents a single photograph of a real place, and the challenge is to identify exactly where on the globe it was taken. Study the image, zoom in on the details, and drop a pin on the map — the closer your guess lands to the correct spot, the more points you earn.
Every duel runs across five 90-second rounds against Compass, a bot opponent that adapts to your accuracy to keep the competition tight. After each guess, the map reveals both pins, draws lines to the correct location, and compares the distances side by side. The game supports 17 languages, saves high scores, and includes background music and hints to help when a location stumps you.
How to Play Atlas Duel: Score More Points Than the Bot
Study the photograph carefully, then find the location on the world map and place your pin. Confirm the guess before the 90-second timer runs out. Repeat across all five rounds, and outscore Compass to win the duel. The closer each pin lands to the correct location, the higher the point reward for that round.
Controls
- Left-click: Place your pin on the map
- Mouse wheel: Zoom the map in or out
- Drag (map): Move around the map
- Expand: Open the larger map
- World: Return to the world view
- "+" and "−" buttons: Zoom the photo in or out
- Drag (zoomed photo): Explore the photo's details
- Hint: Get a clue about the location
- Escape: Return to the main menu
- Buttons at the top of the screen: Change language and sound settings
