The core loop revolves around collecting resources and using them to upgrade both Nubik and his base. Upgrades unlock new zones, and expanding into those zones is how progress happens. As zones grow larger, the number of zombies increases alongside them. Somewhere in those zones is a portal — finding it means destroying zombie helpers along the way. Mercenaries are available to assist in the fight. A leaderboard tracks kills, so climbing to the top of the murder count is a secondary objective running alongside the escape mission.
