Ice and Sand
About Ice and Sand: Build an Ice Castle in Summer
Ice and Sand drops a deceptively simple premise on you: it's the height of summer, and you're building a castle out of ice on a beach. Every level presents a target silhouette, and the goal is to match it exactly by dropping ice pieces onto a grid. The twist is that the sun is always working against you — exposed ice melts, unsupported blocks fall, and every single piece you place costs one sun pass. The castle you're constructing is simultaneously the castle that's disappearing.
Several scenes show small green palm trees and scattered shells sitting on a tan sandy surface behind a transparent grid, grounding the puzzle in its breezy beach setting. In one moment, a red dashed line outlines a group of blocks mid-placement on the grid.
The challenge isn't just about filling a shape — it's about sequencing. Pieces must go down in the right order, in the right configuration, with the right blocks stacked on top to shield the ice below from the sun. It's a casual puzzle game with real logical bite.
How to Play Ice and Sand: Match the Target Silhouette
Each level gives you a target silhouette to recreate. Drag a piece from the bottom tray and drop it onto the grid — it must rest on the ground, on existing ice, or on a platform. Every placement triggers one sun pass: any ice left exposed to the sky melts away, and any block with nothing beneath it falls. Recreate the target shape exactly to clear the level.
Order and structure matter enormously. Placing pieces in the wrong sequence can expose ice that then melts before you are able to cover it, or leave blocks unsupported so they drop. The castle you're building is also the castle that's disappearing, so each move needs to account for what comes next.
