Lighthouse Keeper
About Lighthouse Keeper: Idle Timing Game on the Water
Lighthouse Keeper puts you in charge of a coastal lighthouse, where the lamp sweeps the dark water on its own and ships find their way home by its beam. The whole game turns on one decision repeated through the night: wait for the beam to land squarely on a ship and tap at exactly the right moment, or take the smaller automatic payout and move on.
Seven kinds of ship pass in the dark, each worth a different amount. A skiff comes often and pays little; a mail packet is rare and pays twelve times as much. Every vessel you bring home earns an entry in your logbook. Some nights fog rolls in and ships vanish until the beam finds them. Some nights a ship drifts toward the rocks, marked by a red lamp and a shrinking clock — guide it in time for a bonus, or watch it drift away.
The tower itself grows visibly as you upgrade it: windows light up, a horn appears on the gallery, an aerial rises on the roof. One scene shows a sky filled with varied blue tones, white stippled dots, and tan cloud-like shapes spanning the upper half of the frame. Lighthouse Keeper plays in portrait and landscape with no download and no account required.
How to Play Lighthouse Keeper: Guide Ships, Upgrade the Tower
The beam sweeps the water automatically, and any ship it touches is guided home and pays out without any input from you. The active layer is the tap: touch a ship while the beam is on it, and your timing is graded. The lit ship is ringed in light so you are able to see the window of opportunity. A ship already brought in shows a small green lamp and will not be lit again.
Timing Grades
- CLOSE: pays double
- GOOD: pays triple
- PERFECT: pays five times the base value
Ship Types
- Skiff: arrives often, pays the base amount
- Mail packet: passes rarely, worth twelve times a skiff
- Five further silhouettes pass in the dark, each with its own value
Upgrades Drawer
Pull up the Upgrades drawer at the bottom to spend your coins. Each upgrade unlocks the next, and none can run more than six levels ahead of the one after it, keeping the tower balanced.
- Lens: widens the beam so more ships are lit each sweep
- Motor: turns the lamp faster, adding more sweeps per minute
- Foghorn: calls more ships into your waters
- Crew: times some of the taps for you automatically
- Radio: multiplies everything you earn
New Dawn
When a night stops paying well, triggering New Dawn resets your coins and upgrades in exchange for a permanent bonus and moves you to a new coast with its own water and traffic. Every dawn you have seen makes the next night brighter. The lamp also keeps turning while you are away, so returning pays out what the night has earned in your absence.
Controls
- Tap or click: guide a ship while the beam is on it
