About HTML Gems: One-Minute Match-3 Against the Clock
HTML Gems is a fast match-3 game built around a single ticking minute. Every move matters because matching three or more identical gems doesn't just clear the board — it feeds seconds back into the timer, so skilled play literally buys more time. Chained cascades multiply the score by 1.5 and return even more seconds, rewarding players who set up combos. A power bar fills as the score climbs, unlocking three powers at 30, 60, and 100 percent that can be spent directly on the board. When the clock hits zero, the run ends and top scores go to a global leaderboard where the best ten players register a five-letter arcade name.
How to Play HTML Gems
Select a gem, then select an adjacent gem to swap their positions. A swap only takes effect when it creates a line of three or more identical gems. Each successful match adds seconds to the clock displayed at the top right. 5 times the normal points. The power bar beneath the powers section fills as the score grows; reaching 30, 60, and 100 percent each unlocks a power ready to use on the board. The run ends the moment the clock reaches zero.
