H.O.G.S.
About H.O.G.S.: Turn-Based Artillery with Destructible Pixel Landscapes
H.O.G.S. drops two squads of war hogs into a fully destructible pixel battlefield and lets them tear it apart one turn at a time. The name stands for the hog soldiers at the center of every match — small pixelated characters wearing hats and sunglasses, standing on green and brown block terrain. Every shot that lands reshapes the ground permanently, so craters accumulate round after round until the landscape itself has been blasted away. The last squad standing wins. In one scene, brown rectangular crates with a yellow horizontal strap sit on the terrain alongside the combatants.
Wind is a live factor that shapes every shot, and the arsenal includes weapons as varied as homing missiles and sheep. The pixel art style keeps the destruction readable and the chaos legible even as the ground crumbles beneath both sides.
How to Play H.O.G.S.
Squads take turns. On your turn, move your hog into position, aim carefully against the wind, choose a weapon from the inventory, and fire. Every crater you create stays on the map, so the terrain degrades continuously until one squad is eliminated. Hold the fire input to charge shot power, and for weapons like a sheep or a mine, press fire again to detonate mid-flight.
