Dark Age: Castle Breaker drops two castles face to face in a dark age setting and asks each player to take turns aiming, firing, and tearing the enemy fortress apart stone by stone. The game runs on real physics, so a well-placed shot that clips a supporting block can bring an entire tower crashing down, and a powder keg hit sets off a chain of destruction across whatever stands nearby.
Eight heroes — Knight, Archer, Crossbowman, Bomber, Siege Giant, Alchemist, Bannerman, and Black Priest — each carry a unique weapon and ability. Materials behave differently too: wood burns, stone holds, and iron barely breaks, so the composition of each fortress shapes every exchange. Wind shifts with every turn, keeping aim honest throughout the match.
Before battle, the Castle Editor lets each side design their own fortress on a budget and position heroes inside it. Winning matches on the Road of Glory earns trophies that unlock new heroes, materials, and four arenas, with a smarter AI waiting in each one. A Two Players mode lets two people compete on the same device.
How to Play Dark Age: Castle Breaker: Aim, Fire, and Collapse the Enemy
Goal
Defeat all enemy heroes, or deal enough structural damage that the opposing castle's integrity falls below 25%.
Taking Your Turn
Select which hero fires by choosing them or their card at the bottom of the screen. Pull back to aim and release — the further the pull, the stronger the shot, much like a slingshot. The wind gauge changes every turn, so account for it before committing to an angle and power level. Zoom in with the mouse wheel to line up precise shots.
Physics and Destruction
Knocking out the blocks beneath an enemy hero causes them to fall and take damage. The Alchemist's fire ignites wood and spreads further with each passing turn. The Black Priest can revive one fallen ally once per battle. Powder Kegs explode on impact, triggering chain destruction across nearby structures.
Building Your Fortress
Use the Castle Editor to design your fortress on a budget before the match begins, choosing materials and placing heroes strategically. Wood, stone, and iron each respond differently to attacks, so material selection directly affects how long your castle survives.
Progression
Earn trophies along the Road of Glory to unlock new heroes, additional materials, and four arenas. Each arena introduces a more capable AI opponent.
