About Bad Art Auction: Browser Party Game for 1–8 Players
Bad Art Auction is a browser party game about terrible paintings and the people who buy them. One to eight players join with no download and no account required. Each round, every player secretly receives an art style and a subject — something like "Baroque" and "A cat on the throne" — and gets two minutes to draw it. Artistic skill is not a requirement.
Once the drawings are in, Monsieur Jean-Baptiste Merde-Alors, the house judge, examines each piece and delivers his verdict without restraint. After the critique, the pictures go up for live auction one at a time. Everyone starts with the same amount of play money, and bidding on your own work is allowed. The real value of each painting is revealed only after the sale — anywhere from 10 € to 2,000,000 € — paid out to whoever bought it. A bargain earns money on the spot; overpaying plays out in front of everyone. The player with the most money at the end wins.
A full game with four players takes about four minutes. One click starts another. In one scene, a black-outlined drawing of a shoe occupies the bottom third of a white square canvas, giving a sense of the raw, unpolished artwork the game celebrates.
How to Play Bad Art Auction: Draw, Get Roasted, Bid, Win
Each round opens with a secret prompt pairing an art style with a subject. Two minutes on the clock, a blank canvas, and whatever drawing instincts you have are all that stand between you and the auction block. Then the auction begins: bid on rivals' work, snipe bargains, go all-in, or bluff your way to a fortune. The hidden real value is revealed after each sale, so every purchase is a gamble.
