Aegis Protocol
About Aegis Protocol
Aegis Protocol drops players into the year 2140, where humanity and the alien Helix Swarm are locked in a war over the last Core fields. A classic base-building real-time strategy game, it puts two civilizations on the field that operate in fundamentally different ways — not just cosmetically, but mechanically from the ground up.
The Aegis Directorate builds one structure at a time, maintains a power grid, hauls Core with armoured Harvester trucks, and fields heavy tanks alongside infantry. When the situation demands it, commanders can call down the Orbital Lance. The Helix Swarm works nothing like that: its structures are seeded and grow three at once, it runs on brood capacity rather than power, its units regenerate, and it can tear open a Swarm Rift behind enemy lines. Swarmlings hatch in broods of three, hover craft skim rivers, and the Swarm's arsenal includes acid, piercing spines, and chain bio-lightning.
Two five-mission campaigns let players experience both sides of the conflict. Beyond the campaigns, skirmish mode offers either civilization across 4 maps at 3 difficulty levels. A Daily Operation mode tracks win streaks, and a commander rank and XP system records progress across sessions. Autosave means any battle can be resumed exactly where it was left off.
How to Play Aegis Protocol: Build an Economy and Destroy the Enemy Base
The core objective is the same regardless of faction: build an economy and destroy the enemy base. How each side gets there differs considerably.
Aegis Directorate
- Build power and a refinery to establish the economy.
- Keep Harvesters working to maintain Core income.
- Train infantry and tanks to push toward the enemy base.
Helix Swarm
- Seed structures near the hive — they grow three at once.
- Raise brood capacity with Brood Nodes.
- Let units regenerate naturally rather than managing a power grid.
