About Velvet Hand: Poker Roguelite in a 1920s Art Deco Card Club
Velvet Hand drops you into a glamorous 1920s Art Deco card club where poker hands are your weapon and eccentric patrons are your allies. Each run pits you against a rival across 12 rounds, with the goal shifting every time and elite rounds introducing clauses that rewrite the rules mid-game. One scene shows a dark green background with horizontal lines and glowing rectangular UI containers. The game comes with jazz-age sound and supports both English and German.
How to Play Velvet Hand: Reach the Goal, Beat the Rival
Each round gives you a target score to hit before your hands run out. Pick up to five cards and play a poker hand — every hand scores a base value multiplied by a factor, then further multiplied by your active patrons and your current chain. The chain grows each time you play a different hand type than the one before it; repeat the same hand and the chain breaks.
Once you reach the round's goal, cash out any unused hands for credits or push further with an encore. Beat the rival's mark to earn bonus credits, then spend them in the Salon on new patrons and card upgrades. Clear all 12 rounds to win the run.
Patrons
24 patrons are available, each with their own effect. Hiring them and combining their effects is central to building your strategy across a run. A free guest patron is available on your first run each day.
Rival and Elite Rounds
Every round places a rival at your table whose mark you must beat for bonus credits. Elite rounds go further, adding clauses that change the rules of play.
Duel Code
A duel code lets you challenge friends so they play exactly the same cards as your run, creating a direct comparison.
First Run
A guided first run walks new players through the game's mechanics.

For a different kind of deck-building roguelike, Deck Beasts has you drafting pixel-art beasts, equipping abilities, and battling through the warp with broken builds. If you want sheer card-game variety, Solitaire The Collection bundles 33 variants — from Klondike to Pyramid to Golf — with daily challenges to keep things fresh.
Velvet Hand also sits comfortably alongside the broader Arcade games category, where quick-session, score-chasing play is the common thread.
