Schoolboy Runaway: home escape puts you in the shoes of a kid who has been punished by strict parents and locked in his room with a pile of homework. Rather than cracking open the books, the boy has made a promise to meet his friends outside — and now it falls on you to make that escape happen. The game is built in 3D from a first-person perspective, and the central goal is to slip out of the house without your parents noticing.

Dad is parked in the next room watching football and will not simply wave you through. Every move has to be calculated: solve puzzles, track down useful items, hide, and cover your tracks so your absence goes undetected. One scene shows a man with a black mustache and glasses wearing a light blue t-shirt. In another moment, a desk holds a computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, and a Newton's cradle toy.
