About Miscast: Fast 1v1 Wizard Duels

Miscast is a fast 1v1 wizard duel built around timing and reading your opponent. Each match pits you against one of 8 distinct mage rivals on a ladder, and every opponent you defeat hands you a new trick — their spell joins your arsenal. Several scenes show two white circular floor patterns with runic symbols surrounding the player and opponent characters. Dark stone pillars and vaulted archways appear across the arena views.

The core tension is watching the enemy's cast bar and committing to a response in the moment. Duels run 60–90 seconds, and once you've climbed the full 8-mage ladder, a Daily Challenge and an Endless survival mode open up.

How to Play Miscast: Build a Loadout and Climb the Ladder

Before each duel, pick exactly 3 spells to form your loadout. Repeats are allowed — running three Firebolts is a legitimate build, and dozens of viable combinations exist across the 8 available spells.

Inside a duel, the central decision is reading the enemy's cast bar and choosing your response: cut a big cast with Dispel, absorb it with a Rune Ward, bounce it with a Mirror, or bet that your own damage lands first. Commit to a spell and you're locked in — and your opponent sees it coming. Re-tapping the spell you're currently casting cancels it, letting you feint and bait their defenses before punishing the reaction.

Beat all 8 mages on the ladder, then take on the Daily Challenge — the same seed for every player, with a shared leaderboard — or push into Endless survival to see how deep you are able to go.

Controls

• Keys 1–8 / Tap: Select a spell during loadout
• Enter: Confirm loadout and start the duel
• Keys 1 / 2 / 3 / Tap: Cast a spell during a duel
• Re-tap the active spell: Cancel the current cast (feint)
• P: Pause
