Merge Elementals: Castle Defense
About Merge Elementals: Castle Defense: Twelve-Element Tower Defense
Merge Elementals: Castle Defense puts a wall between your castle and an oncoming horde, and it's up to a grid of elemental fighters to keep that wall standing. The game blends merge mechanics with tower defense strategy across a campaign that spans biomes including swamp, snow peaks, desert tombs, fungus forest, lava inferno, void, and meadows — each world running ten waves with a boss at the end.
Twelve distinct elements form the backbone of the combat system. Fire, water, and earth merge upward into wind, lava, and nature, which in turn cross into ice, energy, spirit, and sandstorm. Some elements burn an area, some slow the advancing horde, and some delete a single target outright. Several scenes show a wooden spike fence dividing the unit placement grid from the enemy path. The castle itself features four stone towers topped with glowing torches and crystals. Enemies visible across the game's scenes include armored knights, green-skinned orcs, skeletons carrying shields, and large white furry creatures.
Gold, army strength, and progress carry over between worlds, so nothing earned is lost when a new biome begins. Chests, keys, scrolls, castle upgrades, and daily rewards round out the progression loop, and cloud saves let a run started on a phone continue on desktop.
How to Play Merge Elementals: Castle Defense
Building Your Grid
Drag identical elementals onto each other — two fighters of the same type and tier fuse into the next tier up. Gold purchases only tier-one units; every higher tier comes exclusively from merging. Grid space is limited, so every combination decision matters.
Running a Wave
When the lineup is ready, hit Start Wave. Merging locks during combat: fighters aim and shoot on their own while the job shifts to casting spells at the right moment and keeping the wall intact. Every kill drops gold.
Spells
Between waves, magic levels up and three spells carry into battle. The available spells are:
- Fireball
- Frost storm
- Chain lightning
- Meteor shower
- Dragon call
Between Waves and Progression
After each wave ends, the prep phase returns: buy new units, rearrange the grid, and upgrade. The final wave of every world is a boss; clearing it opens the next biome. If the wall falls, a gem-cost revive lets the run continue from that point.
Controls
- Drag: Move an elemental or merge two identical elementals by dragging one onto the other
- Tap / Click Start Wave: Begin the combat wave
- Tap / Click spell: Cast a spell during combat
