About Lanternborne: Story-Driven Dark Fantasy Survivor

Lanternborne is a story-driven dark fantasy survivor-like in which the sun has vanished and demons rule the world. Ilan, the last lamplighter, carries no supernatural powers — he walks the old Lamplighters' Road, and his weapons aim and fire on their own. The goal is to cross 100 levels spread across 10 cursed lands, relighting every street lamp along the way so that darkness cannot spawn in already-cleared ground, until Ilan finally confronts Lucifer at the journey's end.

How to Play Lanternborne: Walk the Road, Relight the Lamps

Ilan moves through each level on foot. Walk the road toward the exit, relighting lamps as you pass them. Chests, the Chained Merchant, and movement puzzles all activate when Ilan walks up to them — no separate interaction input is needed. Demons drop coins, which can be spent on new weapons, upgrades, and perks between levels. A boss waits at the end of each of the 10 cursed lands.

Weapons

A collection of 16 weapons is available, ranging from a dagger to a gatling gun. All weapons aim and fire automatically at the nearest demon.

Progression and Spending

Coins collected from defeated demons fund purchases between levels. Spend them on new weapons, upgrades, and perks from the Chained Merchant.

Controls

• Touch and drag (mobile): Steer Ilan using a virtual joystick — touch anywhere on screen and drag to move
• WASD or arrow keys (desktop): Walk in any direction
• Hold left mouse button (desktop): Walk toward the cursor
• P or pause button: Pause the game
