About Hex Hamlet: Cozy 3D Village Builder on a Hexagon Island

Hex Hamlet is a cozy 3D village builder set on a hexagon island blanketed in forest. Starting from a settlers' camp, the goal is to clear the land, raise buildings, and grow the settlement all the way into a castle before sailing off to the next island. Buildings placed beside the right neighbours earn bonuses, relics hide among the trees, and merchant ships pass by with orders to fill. The beach holds the materials for a ship of your own — finish it and set sail.

Each island has its own character. Autumn brings lightning storms, winter freezes the land, one island protects sacred cherry trees, another is a treasure island, and one erupts with a volcano. Later islands combine two of these conditions at once. Every island also has an Expert mode, and each Monday a new Island of the Week goes live — the same island for every player that week.

How to Play Hex Hamlet: Clear the Island and Set Sail

The core loop is straightforward: clear the forest, gather resources, construct buildings, and eventually launch a ship to the next island. Finishing all three of an island's goals earns three stars.

Chopping and Gathering

Move the pointer over the edge of the forest to chop trees — no click required. Villagers hired at the town hall chop independently and carry wood back on their own. They also farm and mine, freeing attention for placement decisions.

Building and Upgrading

Wood, food, stone, and gold are spent on building cards displayed at the bottom of the screen. Placing a building next to the right neighbours triggers bonuses. Clicking a building opens the option to upgrade it.

Winning the Island

Clear every tree, build the ship on the beach, and set sail to move on. Completing the island's three goals rewards up to three stars.

Controls

• Move mouse over forest edge: Chop trees (no click needed)
• Tap a tree (mobile): Chop that tree
• Drag: Move the camera
• Right-drag / Q / E: Rotate the camera
• Mouse wheel / two fingers: Zoom in or out
• Click a building: Upgrade it
